I'm very impressed with the game in general however I must admit that I initially bought it because the Cooper S is one of the first cars you get to drive. Since I won't be able to drive my S until September I just have to console myself with this simulator.
Incidentially, this game looks AWESOME on a 55" HDTV.
Hey, me too! The Cooper S in the game is great, far and away the best car for the early parts of the game. You can beat much faster machines just by taking advantage of the handling, braking really late and carrying speed through the corners, just like in Real Life (TM)! Roll on September, the wait is making me crazy...
PGR is a seriously good racing game. It is more fun than GT3 (which I also own) since you are rewarded for powerslides, 360s, 2 wheeling and catching air.
The Cooper S is the car of choice for the first levels and only becomes redundant when you get the Focus Rally car.
The car handles like real life. Sharp turn-in, little body-roll, excellent weight transferance and good brakes.
Buy a Xbox for this game. Also get Rallisport Challenge and experience serious oversteer (but no mini unfortunately).
