Hey I've seen that red cooper from Halifax cruising around the place Very nice car
All I want to know is why they've put 'greasy cobbled streets of Halifax' . The Fax is a great place to live!

I want to know why Go Mini came all the way down to sunny Cornwall to talk to the owner of a pasty shop and didn't say hi to any of the www.minicornwall.com mini owners
Other than that, yes its a great edition of the mag

bit miffed on the new format of the mag, perhaps the new editor is trying to make her name from it. bigger issue with more nonrelated stuff like canoeing??????
Its suppose to be a car magazine not a travel mag, not impressed with this months issue All that aside, look forward to next months mag, hopefully it will be better.
Paul also explains that it is a "lifestyle" approach according to The GoMini editor.
I think we should give them a fair chance. MINI2 is supposed to be a car forum, but as a consequence of Paul's **coughs** "lifestyle" approach, we see an Off topic and Banter section here and even a Mini ball where everyone was asked to ditch their mechanics overalls and turn up in their DJs and frocks - and most did incidentally.
So perhaps there is room in the mag for the lifestyle approach after all, before we all get fed up of Milltek exhausts and the like.
Have I told you how good the noise is on my K & N Typhoon filter when I put my foot down...

i can understand the 'lifestyle' angle. Classic mini mgs have loads to talk about, with enthusiasts rebuilding and renovating complete heaps of junk into beautiful classic Minis - what do we have - minor performance mods, and bling stick on stuff.
The early mags had too many 'MAX POWER' mini features for my liking - If I want to read about big ice installs I'll buy an ICE mag - for instance.
So, new Mini, new lifestyle. Interesting things to do in Minis, interesting places to see..... after all, we can only say so much about pulley wheels and air intakes - and then we're just repeating ourselves over and over.
The other thing that doen't work is the 'Ive got a new Mini' bit. I'm sure its very nice to see your Mini on the front cover of Go Mini, but in terms of real interest, its pretty weak. Very nice pictures of Claire Woods mini in the first issue, but I'd actually prefer to see more of Claire, not her Mini.... (don't mention that bit to the missus). But my point here is although I rspect claire for all th hard work she's put into her Mini, its actually just another Mini. Its probably mor special than most new Minis, but its still just a new Mini. It isn't some loveingly recreated 40 year old classic thats been rebuilt from the ground up, or some hyabusa engined superlightweight track special. its just a nice yellow mini.
So I think I can understand why they are concentrating on a more 'lifestyle' type of angle. There just isn't really that much to say about New Mini yet, that would appeal to a broad audience.
lets give it a chance. I'm still not prepared to sign up to a standing order for it, but will give it a decent run for its money.
