MINI on 60 Minutes/Andy Rooney

Last night on 60 Minutes, Andy Rooney did a bit about the Smart car (not available in the US, which is why he said he could "plug" it). He was talking about how short the Smart car was. He had showed a Smart car and a MINI side by side and said, "It's even shorter than a MINI Cooper." But then went on to explain that is was short because it had no back seats or trunk (and then proceeded to talk about how he needed a trunk).

The funniest part was him trying to parallel part the Smart car in a tiniest space (in NY City) and after trying unsuccessfully, he just backed the car into the space so the back bumper was against the curb; I guess you would call it "perpendicular parking". The amazing thing was, it worked, he was able to pull the car in enough that is was out of the street and safely "parked".
Cute car, but I'll tale a MINI any day.
