EVO magazine test drives the BBR GT 300bhp turbo mini....

When I've read the article, I'll post some details. They measured the car at 155mhp and 0-60 at sub 6 seconds

OK, fairly shprt article but the basis of it is they are very impressed with the car. Best o-60 is 5.73 seconds, best 0-100 is 12.86 seconds.

Once the car gets dug in past 60mph they say its very quick - as fast to 100 as an Impreza P1 (whatever that is )

Max on the Millbrook bowl was 155mph, with a corrected speed of 160mph - very quick.

BBR GT are offerring this conversion at £16000 - but it is quite unique in the UK at this time.

Bovingdon (chief writer for Evo magazine) rekoned it was the 'most entertaining v-max passenger run since he did the R500 Caterham.

There must be some amount of torque steer having that much power through the front wheels.

I have driven the car and it isn't that bad. Now when you hit the nitrous and go to 500bhp then it trails left quickly....LOL

Evo Magazine August 2005

Has anyone see the latest edition of Evo. There's and excellent article on the Nurbergring and also a BBR Mini Turbo with over 300 GG's under the bonnet.

Makes for a good read.

Personally I can think of better things to do with £16,000 but each to their own. Makes for a good read though.

It's actually just short of 19k ( plus the little matter of the price of a MCS ) . The first few will get the modifications for the "bargain" price of 16k . I love Minis , but 19k?! Crazy.
