MINI.CO.UK updated

Just a heads up that the uk mini website has now been updated to include the 'special' editions (checkmate, park lane and 7) and also the JCW package straight out the factory!

mmmmmmm nice!

What I really want MINI.co.uk to do, is adopt the US website "spec your own MINI" format as its SOOOOO much easier to use, more options available, etc....

Would be SOOOOO nice!

The US website had the JCW kit option weeks ago.....why has it taken the UK one so long to update?

I'd also like to know why the US cars are cheaper and better specced!

Thats it!

Thats all the encouragement I need to write an email to MINI.co.uk demanding an explanation for their crap format!

Grrr!

You can't even have the aero kit as a frigging on the UK one!

The Checkmate Packages are not available in the US until October builds.

Are Checkmate Editions being built for the UK starting September?

It's a shame that they have not updated the downloadable brochures - the Mini One one still has incorrect prices and spec in it. However, the configurator is spot on.

The US site is nicer and there are many more options and extras on there.

Went to my dealer and asked if I could have the extra gauges mounted next to the rev counter as spied on the miniusa site and was told they are not available yet in the UK.

I thought all the cars were made at the same place?

Am I missing something?

Aero kit is still a retro-fit by the dealer!!

Yeah I think its this tiny little place called "Oxford" or something....Then I think all the MINIs are then shipped all over the world. But thats just me offering a wild guess.

And coz I have nothing to do today, I really AM going to write that letter to MINI.co.uk to get them to do something like the US website!

Strange, when I lived in Oxford the plant was somewhere known as "Cowley", outside Oxford. Now that it's actually a little further out of Oxford, it's now known as "Oxford".

Tigger.

Liskeard, Cornwall. Or, in "estate agent" parlance "Very West Hampstead"

Well I wrote them an email...........and then forgot that I had.

Then one day after I remembered that I HAD sent them one, but knowing how crap AOL spam's filter is, it probably took it for spam and deleted it

That is if they even did respond!

Whoops!

Burk!

To be honest, I really think they should take their fingers out and do something. Why they can't just ask to use the MINIUSA.com's style of "Design Your MINI", and get it sent to them, then maybe we can all create our dream cars!
