| MINI2 Senior | BBR track day at Goodwood open to Mini2ers Good news- the BBR trackday is now open to all Mini2 mini's. It's on the 16th Nov and is £165 plus VAT. The 300bhp Mini should be there, as well as some other extreme cars hopefully including a 300bhp Elise which should be finished by then. If there are a few Mini2 minis I'd like to try and organise people to be able to take passenger rides in each others Mini's- so us poor 220bhp can see how the other half live with 240bhp etc. This is a great opportunity to try out one of the best tracks in the country- and see some fantastic cars. This is my first trackday in my mini and it would be great if we could get a lot of Mini's out there- and put faces to names. Please let me know if you are interested, what state of tune your car has, and if you mind taking others out. Cheers. Last edited by shazam : Sep 29th, 2005 at 10:30 PM. |

Offline | I like Goodwood as a curcuit, but the usual 10 car limit really bugs me.... especially on such a large curcuit. Shame its mid week, would love to take my car there and see how it rates against theirs. Good price for Goodwood (usually £220+) but then again it is mid winter almost... ![]() |

Offline | I would quite fancy this... I'll put in for a day off at work. I have a Cooper Convertible, Chipped, but otherwise standard. Just really fancy testing the car on a track. Also are Convertibles allowed? Also happy to take folk out. Any guide on helmet hire/cost? ![]() |

Offline | no reason why convertibles wouldn't be allowed. Helmet hire at Goodwood used to be £10. Goodwood isn't too bad on tyres (although a little rough). if it rains you won't lose any tread.... Nice curcuit, and only 10 cars allowed on at a time, so you won't get hassled by fater cars. Can be lonely out the with only 10 cars on track. |

Offline | Cheers for that Tony! Sounds like an ideal track for me! I'll ask for a day off, and confirm later this evening/tomorrow. Sure only having 10 cars out there will be okay, I'll see them all regularly as I lap them Can't blame me for trying ![]() ![]() |

Offline | See if you can get one of the track people to come out with you for half a dozen laps to show you the line - it will boost your confidence significantly and you'll enjoy it a whole lot more. I really liked Goodwood as its a proper track - it used to be the F1 track many years ago - and it is a fast flowing lap, appart from the start/finish chicane. It is a little bit 'bland' in terms of recognition pints out the back - so it is easy to get confused between one corner and the next at first. I might just do this day myself yet - would love to blow a BBR off the track with my 'standard' Works... ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior | Sorry I havent posted recently, but my wireless box (BT voyager) is knackered, so i had to find my old modem and install it. Ok, please book direct with BBR and mention MINI2. The track day will start with a full debrief, and slow laps in convoy to get the line. I think there will be instructors available (for a charge) who will give one to one instruction. David at BBR will also give advice on correct tyre pressures etc, so bring your compressor. minicabrio-uk any chance of a ride in the old soft top?
