anyone heading up to lime rock labor day weekend? my dealer offered free tix,program,lunch,gift, and vip parking for SQUIRT. we are supposed to caravan from the dealer, but my husband and i may go up the night before. about 3 hours from our house. also, recommendations on a place to stay...b&b if possible?

Monday only. I've got to go to the Hudson Valley from Rochester to pick up my daughter from Grandma's house. I'll probably return to Rochester Monday via Lime Rock where we will spend the day, or whatever part of the day it takes to really bore a nine year old. After Lime Rock it's an easy shot up to 90 and west back home to Ra-cha-cha.

Lime Rock is a beautiful course. Try to get a spot on the hill overlooking the esses. A spot there takes in the hairpin at the end of the front straight and some of the most exciting racing on the course. I recall Lime Rock shuts down for Sunday, local laws prohibit running a race engine on Sunday.

Can't help with a B&B, always did day trips there.

I'm going on Monday, but try the skinny dog farm - a very cool b&b just across the road from the track(Lime Rock Road) - nice folks, not many room, I don't have the tel. #, but surely they are listed in the directory. The town may be Lakeville, CT. There are also some other nice ones just down that road, towards the town of Sharon, up route 116.

Sorry, can't make it to Lime Rock on 11/9. I was there for a Ferrari Club driver's school on Aug. 2 and 3. It was a real ego trip passing Ferraris left and right in the MCS. As you probably know, it's a great track, and seems almost custom made for our cars. When you're there say hi to Richard Brunning in the "Driving Impressions" shop; he's an old mate of mine from VIR.

JM, I've been running my S in SCCA Solo I competition (time trials, hillclimbs) since May: first at VIR, then Giant's Despair Hillclimb, then Rose Valley Hillclimb. First place in my division in all three!!
