Just popped out to the shed and noticed that my track day wheels and tyres are looking a bit dusty, so....................

When's the next track day? The season is nearly upon us and I need to feel the joy of the MCS slipping into a nice bit of oversteer on the exit to a tricky corner combination again. I long to reel in all those Lotus's and Boxsters and 350Zs when the heavens open and I want to seriously worry the owners of Scoobs and Evos around the twistier circuits and hunt down Clios and Pugs and Golfs in the meantime.

This season I want to drive

Bedford (again)
Silverstone GP
Brands GP
Croft (again)
Rockingham (again)
Mallory (again)
Oulton Park (again)
Donnington
The Ring (again)
Thruxton
Goodwood
Spa
and any other track that crops up.

So which one first and when?

Very interested to do track days - Oulton Park was excellent! Q4 2006.

however, at approx £150 + £50 fuel per event, you've listed approx £2,400 worth of track daying.

I am really looking to do a couple of days before May (impending sprog will hamper my ability to come out and play during the summer) so I'm thinking I might do Abingdon in March and either Silverstone or Brands in April.

I've used motrosport events in the past and they are a good friendly bunch.

I'll probabyl book this weekend. Hope some of you can join me?

And 260, I would love to be able to afford to do them all - but I'd have to factor in £400 for new track tyres as well!

£109 day out on a nice wide airfield - tarmac condition is good and run off areas are big.

Airfields tend to have higher friction surfaces than circuits so you'll see some scrubbing in the higher speed corners though sadly the lack of camber will reduce the overall cornering speed though

Still, it's all good clean fun
