I was just wondering, as there seemed to be technical issues with the suspension and that clam-shell bonnet on the mk1 that prevented it from being easy to set up for rallying, whether the introduction of the mk2 and it's all-new mechanicals will actually lead to MINIs going rallying again?

The 1st new MINI was too short for WRC, not sure on the new one, but it would have to be heavily modified to stand up to a rally course, as the S I've driven seem to knock themselves apart on just local lanes.

It was not the car that was an issue it was WRC regs on size. The new one probably does not meet the size limits either but BMW might do something like PUG ? did with bigger bumpers to reach the regs?
