My piccies, not a good location in the paddock, but right by the start line, and unlimited access to all the pit garages, preparation areas etc.

pretty cool day

A great big thank you to Matt Neal for ruining any chance of an exciting finish BTCC season, waving through the two Vauxhalls and then holding up Plato who's racing despite getting his hands and neck badly burnt earlier in the week, what a disgrace.

yeah, i wasn't best impressed with that.

but, Neal's off to VXRacing now tho, so that might be the reason - let the VXR guys through and then hold up the nearest contender.

Hi guys...im yet to watch the last race as we left early to beat the traffic...

Thruxton...hmmm not the best track for the spectator. Spent most of the day by start/finish line myself, walked around to the hot air balloon where I just caught the smash with the 2 formula Renault single seaters.

Bit disappointed with Matt Neal joining Vauxhall....one manufacturer I can honestly say I really don’t like...I will be staying faithful to Halfords next season...oh and David Pinkney lol

Missed out a bit on this season....still not overly fond of the ruling of the 5 door cars, bring back the teg's spent most of this weekend in one...think the MINI is going and a Teg might be bought in the new year....also another controversial comment, the Clio cup is way more exciting to watch than the MINI Challenge in my opinion as they seem to drive like nutters...however I would like to see MINIS and clio's against each other, not just one or two independents but proper race teams, that should be fun to watch...maybe chuck in a few corsa VXR's for good measure

I've been there all weekend with our team. We had Clio #22 out. Thankfully he didn't get caught up on the oil in qualifying yesterday, or race one yesterday afternoon.

IMHO the crash in the second race could have been prevented by waving slippery surface flags frantically before the Club chicane, not at it because the drivers are already committed in the corner. Lots and lots of damage. JHR Developments took Rob Lawson's car all the way to Sheffield last night to reshell it because it was destroyed after race one. Three or four of their lads hadn't been to bed yet at 14:00 today.

As for the whole Matt Neal/Vauxhall/Plato saga, it was won fair and square in my eyes. Fabrizio Giovinardi was the better driver on the day and deserved to win the championship.

It is great to see VXR competitive again

sorry, i cant see how Neal waving through the VXR boys just to hold Plato up can be classed as fair...

minimike: who do you work for ? why are you supporting Halfords ? i support them due to our sponsorship deal, and Richard Taite Harris is a sound bloke :]

I dont work for Halfords I work for an internet company, it has no connections to BTCC or any sporting connections any more that im aware of, they used to be involved in football not at all interested in football so was no interest to me.

I cant really explain why I support them really...At first it was because a mate who invited me to the races was a fan/did track days with Matt Neil, but now its because im kinda faithful to a team, I am looking fwd to see who the new driver will be and if they can make them new Civics run even better next year, and hopefully win it (either drivers or team)

Oh fair do to Plato, racing on like that even with burnt hands and driving so well, although i wanted Neil to pass him in the second race I was amazed he could keep up such a good drive/fight under that amount of pressure.
