“MINI racing has proven hugely popular in the UK since the John Cooper Challenge started in 2002. With the MINI Challenge's continued participation in the Dunlop Great & British race package as well as this new series, there will be more MINIs than ever on UK circuits in 2008.”

Note the two challenges are both at Donnington in August for the "Mini Festival"

I know I posted the first lot, but now on the MINI Challenge website it seems to just show the new S's

yep its defo 2 championships independent of each other, at different circuits and weekends

- then they should come together in 2009.

All dates provisional so far but exciting all the same.

Just to clarify I have added the dates its dammed exciting there was a buzz last year the Challenge was going to go Billy Big Spuds on us but at least the Club racing remains it was the poor relation on the GT circuit when they hooked up and it cost mucho money to watch.
This way you get to cherry pick some world class events but still have the clubs to fall back on for a cheap weekend.

The Club and S class.

With the June July down as TBC it does make you wonder.

It's a shame several rounds clash with BTCC meetings. Those teams that could have run cars in the new championship may not be able to as some teams are involved with the Toca package.

I've got plenty of pics, unfortunately I've left the camera in the office but will upload them shortly.

Car looks good though. Aeropackage is dissappointingly more for show than go as its not truely flat floored but still looks like it will help. The cage is far more comprehensive. Roll on April when they are arriving!

We are hoping to order the car in the next few weeks and the plan is to do it, unless something else comes along in the meantime, but yes is the basic answer!

Ok no super MINI Cooper Challenge but its less than a Month till Snetterton and no news since February from the Challenge website driver profiles are still on 2007 so its business as uusual as far as providing information any of the insiders got any news for us?
