Offline | MINI Challenge in Germany 2008 Here is the race calendar for the MINI Challenge series in Germany where our Swedish driver Fredrik Lestrup will drive for Schubert Motorsport: 18-20/4 Hockenheimring, GP der Stadt Stuttgart. 09-11/5 Oschersleben, GT Masters. 22-24/5 Nürburgring, 24 h race. 06-08/6 Oschersleben, Rock the Race. 18-20/7 Hockenheimring, Formula 1. 08-10/8 Nürburgring, Oldtimer Grand Prix. 29-31/8 Oshersleben, WTCC. 26-28/9 Salzburgring, Finale. Jocke Mangs from Sweden won the series last year (also driving for Schubert Motorsport) so it will be interesting to follow the series this year and hope that Fredrik Lestrup will have success. |

| What mid-life crisis? | We really enjoyed the rounds they held at Zandvoort to coincide with MINI United 2007, so I like the look of the events that are within striking distance of Luxembourg.....a shame there's not a round at Spa (yes, I know Spa is in Belgium, not Germany, before anyone notices!) Offline | I may also be at the 'ring for the Old timers Grand Prix. I went last year and it was fantastic to get into the garages with all of the old F1 and GT cars - you really get to mingle with the owners and mechanics. One of the best events I have been to, pity the weather was totlay rubish with the whole ring being closed for the complete Friday sessions. If I am there I wil be with the Swedish team Total Performance Racing who had their team base right outsde the MINI Challene tent last year. In Italy |

Offline | Fredrik Lestrup came second in the MINI World Finals held at MINI United 2005, so he knows how to drive a MINI around a racetrack. This coming weekend is the start of the season, I will try and update the thread with short info about how things are going for Fredrik ![]() |
