Looking for information from MINI race teams

I hope nobody gets offended by posting this request here, but I'm interested in getting information from people who actually race their MINI, and not vendors trying to sell parts, nor redlight bragging rights.

I've spent almost all the time in my BMW cars on the local tracks, and visit Nürburgring once a year. A few years of track experience, and member of a local racing club.

My current car R53 (MCS Works GP) is a good object to use for my purpose IMO, but MINI race experience is limited locally .
Both the MINI Challenge rollcage, and MINI Challenge suspension from KW to be fitted shortly.
Lightweight 17" wheels with semi-slicks (usually Dunlop or Kumho), exhaust system, braided brake hoses, brake ducts, race pads, and brake fluid suited for racing have all been taken care of.
The objective is to participate in a local racing series (sprint) 2009/2010.
Obviously still things left to do with the car before it's ready to compete.
FIA approved seat and harness next on the list.

What's the recommended set up for the MINI Challenge/KW suspension ?
Recommended camber/caster front and rear ?
Reliable engine upgrades (assume it's not regulated) ?
Any other valuable information ?

I hope the MINI racing community is able to help

best bet is to call Tony Franks at the Mini Motorsport Centre. He runs the engineering side of the Mini Challenge and is a font of all knowledge re the Challenge.

Agreed - talk to Tony.
Yes he is a vendor but more importantly his knowledge is far greater than anyone else when it come to challenge cars. Tony is very free with information without any pressure to buy this or that. Tony is ex JCW chief engineer - you will not find a better knowledge source.

Phone him rather than e-mail - the old fashioned talking way is preferred
