Offline | Will 215/45-16 Azenis fit Will Axenis 215/45-16 fit on stock offset wheels (stock X-Lites, aka V spokes) without rubbing? Garfield, I seem to remember you have this tire on a wheel with 44-45mm? offset. Do you have room left? Would the tires fit on the stock offset? Thanks in advance. |

Offline | I make no guarantees, and I know they'll be tight, but they should fit. The 215/40R16 Hoosiers are even wider and there's still a ___hair of room left on my wheels. We're only talking about 3mm difference between mine and the stock. Offline | Azenis are OK Actually when I mounted the Azenis I noticed a drop in performance, but that's becasue they replaced Hoosiers. As a street tire the Azenis are good. Grippy, stiff sidewalls, good in heavy rain. Good tread wear. It feels like the grip decays the more I drive, due to heat cycling issues, not tread wear. Then again, it's getting colder these days. They don't squeal much on corners. (Pro Solo Peru people might dispute that). I never had run flats on my MINI, I have the Conti all seasons on 15" white 7-hole wheels, and in November, the Contis will be my street tires again. The 16 in rims I bought for solo2. The Falkens are much better handling on dry roads than the stock Contis. |
