Little bit of advice.

makesure you type the right name in your sat nav, yes there is a track nuremburg but not the one you want to go to. Its Nurburgring......

When in July, iam out there the first weekend 5-6th and the last weekend 26th July onwards.

ok, i'm there late 4th - 6th. Look out for a Black MCS with porsche Brakes ( me ) and white VXR and dark blue Porsche GT3, that will be us.

i would say honestly you could get away with uprating nothing. i took my standard R56 round and it was more than adequate to overtake over stuff and keep up with some of the bigger boys.

However on the R53 i would definately uprate the brakes as a minimum as for a first timer you will be using them lots. Probably best to get a set of R56 brakes a sthey will be cheaper.

Also remember its a killer, saw too many people crash last weekend, abother biker lost his life in the afternoon too.

One thing i would say is to take a helmet, i always do now, that way you will get to go out in other cars.

Just check that track is now open - some mates went on bikes last week and the place was shut for a few weeks for track repair work.

No dont go to BMW if you can avoid it as they will charge you a fortune but if you can afford it then why not.

I wouldn record anything if it your first trip. Just take it easy and enjoy as i hit the barrier there 2 weeks ago.

Personally, I'd put some higher boiling point brake fluid in, eg Motul RBF600
and some higher temp pads Carbotec, Mintex 1144, etc.
If you need new discs, slotted ones would be good to remove the risk of glazing your pads.

You can go for bigger brake upgrades, but they're only a luxury so long as you take care of the above. BBK's don't necessarily help with the increased heat unless they're track specific with floating bells and wider discs.
