I was hoping I could get some feedback and advice.
My Mini is an 05 JCW that I bought second hand. The original owner had some of the JCW upgrade done, but did not go for the entire kit.
So far I have upgraded the suspension to Bilstene struts. And just a week ago had a Wilwood Big Brake kit installed.
The next thing Id like to tackle is the exhaust. I have been looking at the Borla Performance Catback setup.... but I have no clue on a good header. There are several to choose from. Ranging from $500 all the way to $1700
I had the car on dyno and it came back with good readings so I am quite confident it had the head work and injectors done.
A closer look today by a fellow co-worker who used to be an auto mechanic, also was good news... he says the car already has a factory header installed.
Its now looking like the original owner just didnt spring for the JCW suspension or brake kit.
Thanks guys for the information. I have gone ahead and ordered a Borla Cat back Exhaust system. Ive decided that the HP gains relative to cost is not worth the investment. I will put the money towards ECU Programming. And a elm327 Bluetooth to sync up to my Android device.
