Did a little drag racing with the MCS

Took the cars to the track friday night. Fastest time we got was a 14.68. that is with the 15% pulley, magnaflow and bmp intake. If we put a tire on the car it will go low 14's. The temp was about 53 and the humidity was 87%.

Wow, 14.68 is a pretty impressive time. What kind of tires was this on?

Cheers,

Paul

Any drag strips near Helix? I'm coming down with another Canuck may 24 weekend. Wouldn't mind giving a go at this.

Helix is about 1/2 hr south of the track we usually go to: Englishtown, Racewaypark. Fiday night is the usual meeting, though they do operate other times.

for street racing, the informal way, you pay $20 and start getting in line, run after run. you might get as many as 8 runs on a very low turnout night night, more likely about 4-5. I'm not sure how late you can enter and still get in runs, or how late they stay running.

WTG super. by chance did you save any of the time slips. in the performace section of this place ive done a post where i tested with the G-tech pro comp. where with my car having an exhaust and pulley exchange. i pulled a few 14.6 sec. runs along with a 14.399 at 55f. Would love to compare the readouts i have with a timeslip of one at the track doing around the same et.

I'm gonna try to go to ATCO this Friday. That track is in ATCO, NJ (about 30 miles from Helix).

Since you guys know the area, are you aware of any inexpensive hotels/motels near Helix? Super 8, Motel 6, Best Western, Holiday Inn, whatever. As long as there isn't a red light above the door. PM me if you've got any ideas. Now back to the thread.
