Best auto-x tire pressure for stock all season dunlop 16" runflats ?

I posted this over on NAM, didn't get any bites. These tires will just be for temporary use untill I can get new tires but I'm stuck with them for now.

Who with experience can give me the magic answer? First event of the year is next week Sunday. I read pressures should be higher, but how high? What would you run the fronts and rears at?

The course is at the Oakland Coliseum and the pavement is discribed as:

"Large, smooth, asphalt site. Very slippery, easy on tires."

Thanks for your input,

James

We had the same situation when we first started, as I recall we ran them around 38 psi. With the stiff sidewalls the runflats have they don't seem to be that pressure sensitive.

Steve,

Start out with 36 front/37rear, then bleed them to that after each run.
Use chalk on the sidewall to see where the tire is rolling to. You want
it just to the edge of the tread. Use tire presure to adjust it - more to
move the roll up and less to get more roll over.

Good luck and Godspeed!
