225/50 R15 - Will they fit?

Does anyone know if a 225/50 R15 will fit inside the wheel well of a non-lowered mini? What offset wheel would be compatilble with this tire? I currently use a 215/45/17 on a 7" rim 38 offset and 215/55/16 on a 7.5" rim with 43 with plenty of clearance. So I'm thinking an 8" rim with an offset of 41-44.

You need to read my post "Wheel and Tire Tech Tips" I will say that a 15x8 ,+41 will not clear the trailing arms of the rear suspension, to do that a 15x8 would need to be no more than +36.

If you feel you need an 8" wide wheel, you may want to look at 16x8's as my measurements indicate a 16x8 up to +46 may fit the rear but depending on mounted tire width may not clear the front front struts. The good news is you do still have the stock struts, so you have 3/16" more room than me with my KW's.
