Pictures Of Car Repairs

Visited the JCC factory yesterday to see how far they had got with the repairs on my car. Click here to view some pics of the car. The radiator and its mountings have all been removed to either be 'de-bent' or replaced with new parts. The bonnet is also awaiting a small respray. Should hopefully be ready this weekend!

Just curious, but why is the "19" on the door crossed out with black tape?

Still waiting for a couple of small parts not held in stock at JCW. They hopefully will have arrived today.

Some tips for Silverstone:

- Stay on the black stuff
- Avoid contact
- Have a nice day!

Are you on the national or international circuit? You may need some new rubber afterwards, but you will have great fun.

National circuit - should think the camera will be around ! + since it's general testing will have a chance for some more adventurous shots!?

I'll take the video & digi still camera - but not sure how the powers-that-be at Silv will react to in-car video...

Racer, we meeting up somewhere then? I'll prob be going up the M40 though - are you still going anti-clock on the M25 then M1? If so, guess I'll see you there.

I got a faxed info form before booking but nothing since Signing on 9 - 10am, first closed-wheel session is 11 - 11.50am, then 2 - 3, then 4.10 - 5pm. Long sessions and not many of them then. garage is available from 7.30am, but it sounds like there's no rush to get there. I'll be aiming for about 10 I guess, leaving here at 8ish.

Good trip ta but knackered! 1500 miles in 48 hours - phew! Off to bed now. Night all!

See ya tomorrow then.

That's an average of 31mph... I'm guessing that you didn't get lost on the M25 for two days then...

I'll head for 9.30 - 10.00 then - Longer sessions should make tweaking a bit easier! - Don't know if I'll hang around for 4.10-5 sess' depends on how day has gone - Off to Cricket Saturday so need to keep Mrs Racer happy !

Sorry, typo, still asleep when I wrote this - should've been 9 - 11am, so take your time.

Seems a shame to miss a third of the session time - go on, ask Mrs R nicely, she'll be all right - tell her I said it was ok

Gonna bring my race suit etc too - I think I've read somewhere (although it's not on these notes) that you should do. You also need your race licence.

PS Dom - not M25, but almost as exciting. Motorway all the way back from south of Spain to Cherbourg in a diesel Picasso loaded with booze for my sister's wedding - not the most responsive vehicle in those conditions. First time ever, not sure I feel like more driving tomorrow. Guess I'll perk up when I get there!

1500 miles, two days, Diesel Picasso... I'm guessing it was a brick on the accelerator job then!!

9-11am sounds much better - if first sess starts at 11 don't want to leave it too late - so 9.30 - 10.00 should be OK
