Rumour has it that AndyW has the hillclimb bug and was thinking of taking part in another event today at Wiscombe

Did you go Andy, and if so how did you do?
I went down to see the folks at the end of the London to Brighton Mini run and met up with the JCW crew who were trying their best to sell JCW merchandise to Mini fans.
The Dysons were there too and encountered a little agro from some Mini enthusiasts who regard MINI2's as BMW's and not the real thing!
Good news from Penny Mattocks : she says there is a good chance of organising entry for the Challenge cars into another race meeting at Lydden this summer. There could be up to three races, giving the possibility of obtaining two more valuable signatures on our licences.

Naturally it would be a non-points scoring event, but apparently if ten or more Challenge cars signed up we could be entered into a class of our own

Hopefully, enough of us will be interested.
Mike confirmed that there may be more track day opportunities coming up at circuits such as Donington or Castle Coombe which should be reasonably priced - the Octagon circuits are all much more expensive.

This could be a great summer

No, didn't go to Wiscombe - I was thinking about it, but figured the risk of damage (sorry to remind you

) was too great. BUT having said that, I might be on for one/some of the non-JCC races, if you chaps are...

Didn't go to the L-B either - partly cos it was too early a start on a Sunday, and partly cos of the risk of aggro. Sorry to hear the Dysons got some - what happened, do you know? Barney said he was prob going to go - did he?

See you at Lydden on 3rd.

EB (and Stephen - and anyone else who wants to come) - Glen & I are booked in for a trackday at Mallory with EasyTrack on 30/7 (2 days after our first race at Silverstone, so hope the cars are in one piece...

), so if you fancy a blast...

hello - haven't been in the mini since Wiscombe so looks like I have a bit of catching up to do - Andy W - do you know who I should call about coming along to Lydden that week pre Abingdon?
I was due to go to L-B but couldn't as the car was being used in a school fete - guess the number of balloons in the car - I doubt this figure is that much use to anyone

not break fluid & tyre pressures - sorry - just being a girl!

Hope the Dysons & co. were OK - such a pity.

many thanks - I've now just got to check with my boss as all of Europe is open on that day so I might have to work...bummmer!

V embarrassed re tonight - the Mail picked it out which meant I got several calls this morning & my colleagues sent an e-mail out to all my clients to tell them ...so much for low profile!!

I'm thinking of binning the Mallory track day in favour of general test day nearer the time - 1. It's very close to Silverstone 2. Mallory is open every Wed for testing 3. It's a long way from 22nd Oct and I might have forgotten it by then!

Are we all agreed on testing at Snetterton last week in June as per conversation with Graham and Phil ??
