| MINI2 Master | Well Done Liz Great piece on 5th Gear!! Well done Liz, Tiff can teach me a few tricks anytime! like the view from the front of the car, and he hung onto gate for a while! bad memories for Stephen as they showed the crash in detail nice amount of airtime too, should be good for the sponsors of all the other racers Andy and Glen posing in the background as well lol! ![]() |

Offline | 5th Gear Well done to Liz for a splendid performance - you must be a natural. Shame they didn't show any other driver interviews or give Barney a mention after all that filming. At least my crash got me on TV - shame it was for the wrong reason! Andy: I will probably do a test session at Mallory nearer the time. By the way, don't worry about the Dyson's - they only recieved minor verbal banter, nothing physical! Liz: Hope you can make it to Lydden on June 3rd to show us lads a thing or two ![]() |

Offline | Yes, congrats Liz, excellent item, well done! ![]() All in all, we MINI2 lot got all the airtime I reckon! I didn't see any other challengers on film at all!EB - busted! We were trying really hard to look casual about it too! The MINI2 stickers on both Racer's & my car made an appearance in the background - mine was posing too , with Barons Mini on it as well - I'll be sure to mention that to my sponsor - must be worth a bob or two! ![]() Speedster - didn't realise your smash was so heavy - ouch! Glad you came out of it in one piece... Agreed, if I was Barney I'd be a bit miffed , but all credit to Liz for coming out of it well. See you at Lydden - you too hopefully, Liz!Andy Last edited by AndyW : May 21st, 2002 at 02:34 AM. |

Offline | Lydden Thanks guys - yes I was disappointed about the lack of the other guys' interviews - I hope that Denis Chick can get hold of the master copy which might show the interviews - also I think that C5 seeemed to use some of the shots taken by the other crews' cameras so perhaps we all might get a video like after Goodwood....which would then have the proper record of the day!! ![]() So sorry Stephen about that in the film I had no idea as the C5 camerman Barry was at the top of the hill when I got out of the car to talk with Tiff... Guys - just got the fax from the track so am sending my cheque now for Lydden on the holiday Monday - the boss gave me the day off but I have to work on Tuesday........ Also I won't have had the "unfair advantage" so I'll be looking for help or chasing your tails, and as I haven't been in the little car since Wiscombe I will find selecting all gears troublesome...............Oh by the way - the Evening Standard ES wheels article Jon Bentley wrote should come out Friday June 14. ![]() |

Offline | That'll be great Liz, see you at Lydden. Don't know about Phil & Graham, up to them to look on Mini2 I guess! We did tell them about the site enough times, and Graham was looking at my boot sticker for quite a while at Silverstone ![]() Now they've sold all 25, you can't blame JCW for trying to drum up interest for next year... Offline | The way I figure it, our cars will be worth about 10k at the end of this year. If they do next season with the S Works, that's gonna cost 20k + 5k for the entry fees/admin etc, like this year, total 25k. So we've got to find 15k at the end of the year to go into next year's challenge. So only £24,997.50 to go and you'll be ok! ![]() |
