RACING: Canadian Grand Prix Loaded With Parties

Mini meets, fashion shows and a Grand Prix Ball are all part of what is
shaping up to be an interesting weekend in Montreal, Canada, as the
Formula 1 circus comes to town. It's always a sell-out crowd with every
hotel room taken and traffic congestion at its worst, encouraging all
fans to take the subway that drops you just off the island where
Canada's Expo was held in 1970.

One of the more interesting parties we've heard about is a Mini Canada
party on Peel Street. The street will be closed, there will be food and
beverage stands and five of Montreal's top DJs will provide music. The
only requirement is to bring your Mini; there is special reserved
parking for Coopers.

I spoke to my dealership earlier in the week and my salesman asked me stop by to have my trade evaluated, but not this weekend as all the managers were going to Montreal for the F1 race. How come I wasnt invited?

Great review of the party on Roadfly. Too bad I don't have my MINI yet, I would have loved to have gone, though I would have been scared for my car.
