| Getting ready I'm getting my S ready for its first Solo I (time trial) at VIR (south course) next weekend. Lots of stuff going into the car. Finally got the Autopower roll bar from MiniMania, but couldn't fit it into the car! It turns out their bar won't fit in a sunroof car. Fortunately, my tuner (GSM) fabricates custom cages and such, and they struck a deal with Autopower: Autopower pays GSM to modify the bar to fit my car, and also for the blueprints for the modified bar. So if you're ordering a bolt-in bar or cage, be sure to tell them if you've got a sunroof! Also in the process of installing a seat (Cobra Imola 2), harnesses (Schroth), brake pads (Porterfield R4S), brake fluid (Castrol GTLMA), fire extinguisher, etc. Also got some Kosei K1 Racing wheels and Kumho Ecsta 205/45/16's. I've now got a serious deficit in the motorsports budget, but by Friday I should be good to go.  |
