Left Foot Braking?

For Garfield and others who have autox'd Minis, how is the left foot braking? With the electronic throttle, is it worth the effort?

I spun my 914 in one run recently that I was left foot braking. Just don't get enough practice since it is not my daily driver. Will I need to learn to be competitive in an S?

In my son's Golf, the trottle is killed the instant the brake is pressed, so the only advantage to left foot braking is speed on and off the pedals. That is pretty small difference, so both of us have given up left foot braking in his car, although we have considered disabling the brake switch.

Question

I hope the throttle is not cut when left foot braking (kinda hard to do during a test drive and I forgot to try it) as I use it in the snow. Someone with a MINI kindly tell us?
Thanks

With those tyres I'm not suprised mate - I've seen more tread on slicks and less wire in a TV
