Offline | Tuning Quite simply, has anyone out there had an engine re-map put on their MOD, and then tried fitting a tuning box to the common rail>? I had the opportunity to do so a few months ago, but thought against the option. Now thinking of it again, anyone got feed back or opinions>? The best MOD in Glasgow |

Offline | Not heard of this been carried out, however, the re-map would need to take into account the higher fuel pressure surely to optimise the bhp increase & efficiency, or else it would be all lumpy and inefficient (To put it simply) And Fozzy, don't get carried away with power mate, it is nice but it sureley isn't everything. I had a go in a 1.8 petrol SRi Corsa yesterday, and whilst it was quite fast, even faster than my MINI, after 20 miles in the thing I didn't not want to see sight of it again, it was so dull, bland and boring. I think that is what Paul and some others were saying about the Ibiza Cupra 160 TDi on another thread. Yes it is rapid, but it would need to be to prevent you falling asleep after spending more than a minute in the thing...............![]() |

Offline | Does anyone know when Lohen are bringing out the Bluefin for the MOD... This sounds like the best thing since sliced bread! Switching the Re-map on and off when ever you want... No worries about warrenty issues or will the dealer find it. The Lohen web site says 'Coming Soon' ... how longs that? Superchips already have a map for MOD's so surely it's a case of adding it to the Bluefin handset... |

Offline | I know superchips have done tests, and everything went smoothly, but that was back in December '05. If you have a laptop/p.c you can re-map yourself with the MTH kit from essential mini, a pretty simple task......... |

Offline | Yeah, there is only so much extra juice that the common rail can handle, should have fitted the tuning box when i had the chance, just to see what it was like! I think the biggest asset for the MOD remap or not - is the handling, sticks like glue and have still to make it do otherwise! Have a 3.5" tail pipe on mine, its that big it looks like a elephant would have pleasure with it In all honesty its sapped some power for my car and cos its a flat tail pipe all the soot that kicks out of it covers the back of my car. Getting a powerflow exhaust fitted next tuesday, so will hopefully gain back that BHP and cure my dirty rear end Will post some before and after picks and you can see what u think The best MOD in Glasgow |

Offline | Asked Superchips if they were planning a Bluefin for the MOD... political response was they did not currently have a bluefin for the MOD, no mention of any plans. Told me to check the website for updates... Last edited by WhiteStripes : Oct 26th, 2006 at 01:48 PM. Reason: typo |

Offline | There are plans, I don't know what they are messing at. Superchips told me they would keep me on file 'for when they bring the product out in the future' basically........ ![]() |
