Hi

Have been looking for a manual for a Mini One Diesel, have been able to find plenty for the petrol models but not diesel.

Can anyone tell me where i can find one if they exist?

Thought the manual covers all models except the S as in ONE/Cooper regardlesso f petrol/Diesel///

Hi, have contacted Haynes and Mini and there are no manuals for the Mini One 1.4 TD!!

All that is available is the One, Cooper and Cooper S Petrol.

Has anyone purchased a manual for the 1.4 TD?

If so where from and what cost?

what do you need to know? the manual will cover everything, except engine and gearbox.

Need to find out how to replace the solenoid on the passenger side as the central locking does not work on that door?

The fan belt is squeaking under 1000 rpm, am taking it to a garage to see what the problem is and will look at doing the required work myself.

Also want it so i can do most of the general maintinace myself rather than relying on garages.

had the problem with the squeaky fan belt on my car,if i remember right its an automatic tensioner,replaced the belt and the squeak was gone,not sure about the central locking,but the doors cards and the handles come off easy enough,so cant see this being much worse

Hi and welcome to mini2. A petrol haynes manual will cover everything you need to know except the engine. It will show you how to replace the solenoid. As for the squeaking fan belt,this is very common on most mini one Ds

. just give the tensioner pully a squirt of wd40 from time to time and the noise will go

Cant really comment on this as Ive not seen what condition your belt is in. If it looks OK and is not perished i would leave it.. what mileage has your car done?

80k seller said was replaced 4,5k ago looks in good nic.

Are there any other adjustments that can be made to get rid of the squeak without using wd40?

Interesting info on fan belts there!!

If your belt was replaced 4.5k ago, it doesn't need another now, sounds like it needs tweaking with the tensioner as mentioned, but i'm sorry I don't know how to do this! Mine sometimes makes a squeak when the engine is cold, but never noticed when up to temp, and it doesn't do it 100% of the time, all 3 OneD's that I have owned have made this noise, so i've not bothered doing anything about it, apart from on my first MINI I used Aston's WD-40 trick, and it fixes the problem for a few weeks, before it returns!

Please keep us updated if you find a successful fix
