Offline | First few miles Well - picked up the car yesterday and would have to say that i am extremely pleased with it. The mpg is amazing, it averages over 50 mpg on my journey to and from work which includes a lot of nose to tail!! I had a Cooper Convertible previously and I am also surprised at how well the OneD compares in the mid range to the cooper - I would even go as far as saying it feels a bit quicker that the copper conv did. Looking forward to many more miles and smiles from this little gem. How do I post pictures on here? Andy August 2004 Mini One D, Electric Blue |

Offline | Hi, glad you are liking the D! ![]() The D suprises a lot of people with the mid range and on a motorway uphill it was especially good at passing petrols! With good use of the chassis and gear box it is great fun and my wife in her cooper found it very difficult to shake off if we were out for a blast! No chance now though as she just got an S clubman! Make sure any pics are below 500k (i usually resize all mine to 600x450). If you go down the page a bit you will see a manage attachments section. Click on that and then upload your pics using the top box. Click on browse & then find them from your documents. Hope that helps! |

Offline | Thanks for the heads up on the pictures Yeoda. I'll get some sorted over the weekend and posted on here. Mpg is helped by the factthat my journey doesn't allow me to liberally use the loud pedal - too much town driving involved. Weekends will give me the chance to watch that figure plummit! Offline | Welcome to the fold, car sounds great. ![]() I have to agree with Aston, at the moment I am not seeing anything better than 42mpg. But that might have something to do with the fact that I don't have it at Uni with me, so whenever I come home and use the thing, I take the scenic route everywhere round the country lanes which = lots of fun. ![]() Over long periods though and with the use of the M/Way I see around 50. ![]() Looking forward to the pics. |
