Offline | TD Tuning The main reason I would want a TD mini over a petrol one is the tuning oppurtunities. I have a TD Seat Leon and almost changed it for a mini but decided to get it chipped instead. The difference was fantasic. Anyway if you get the diesel mini it will be relatively cheap (£300 to £500) to get a 25-30% increase in bhp and torque. I reckon for real world driving (i.e not 0-60 times but more 30-70 times) a chipped diesel mini will be faster than the standard mini cooper no problem and like all diesels will provide all it's power from nice and low down the rev range. I'll definetely reconsider the Mini again when the diesel version comes out. Cheers, Jambo. Need a car that keeps me happy for more than 3 months!! |
