Offline | Want to buy a Mini Diesel Hey, I want to buy a new car and almost certain it will be the new Mini Diesel. The only problem is the price, it is pretty expensive. What are the options you took? I want, alloy wheels, trip computer, leather steering and a radio. Ciao Pé |

Offline | It all depends what you want and what you are willing to spend. But the options realy add up real quick. So maybe a pack (a combination of options) is better (you get rather big discounts on packs like salt, pepper). Cheers! Currently driving my Mini Cooper and having alot of fun! +10000 miles and counting. MC VR/W, man Airco, SS+, alarm, profile leather, sportseats, spoiler, radio boost, chrome pack, white racestripes, 16" 5 spoke rims, |

Offline | Hi czy, THE most important thing to consider is this: One day you will want to sell it. Take a look at the official Mini websites and visit the Mini 'cherished' section. There you will see what is available on the second hand market. I would suggest a MINIMUM of: Metallic paint, Alloys, Air Con and CD, plus a few personalisation extras (maybe Salt & Chrome), otherwise when you order your second Mini, (which of course you will) it may not be as attractive to buyers as the others that have been 'specced up'. |

Offline | Hey, Just look at my profile to find out what I ordered. I will have the car in two to three weeks and signed the contract on june 6th. Regular discount is 6.5% but if you insist they will go up to 7.5%. I was lucky to profit from an error they made and got 9.63% of discount out of it. Keep us informed. |

Offline | If you order silver metallic paint, then you don't need the chrome bits and the black and silver combination looks quite sporty (in BMW's you pay more to have black instead of Chrome!). The D already comes with a rev-counter. The only other options that should be at the top of the list are the Air-Con (manual is nicer looking than auto and works well), Trip Computer, alloy wheels (15") and perhaps fog-lights. CD changer can be added later. One of the most attractive dash items (IMHO) is the large speedometer and the navigation system, while useful sometimes, does not look as good as the speedo. Probably better to fit an aftermarket navigation sysetem if required. The standard Antracite interior/dash is much nicer than the optional bright silver and the standard Aqua Anthracite cloth is very good, so you don't really need leather. |
