Offline | Managed 50mpg! Well, I've done it! Last week managed about 38mpg driving at about the same speeds I would usually drive our MINI One around town. Not impressed. (Same speeds, not same drivin style, I appreciate a Diesel is very different....) This week, driving a bit more like an OAP (we have many around here, so I've got the style down perfectly), I managed to get much better averages. Best average was 53.2mpg on a fairly long stretch of dual carriageway, over all average dropped to just over 49 after some faster driving, but in conservative mode I managed a steady 51.3 to 52.3 mpg on my usual drives. So if you're happy to take it VERY easy, as others have already said, you CAN get good mileage. (It's just a slow process). ![]() |

Offline | My first week with the One D now. Have done about 400 miles so far. Average is 40 mpg or 7l/100 km. OBC gives a little more than this. (+10%). Continuously using the airco, and mostly short trips (2 - 10 miles). Also using the car firmly but within its range (max 3500 rpm for the first 2000 km). |

Offline | Have been able to drive a little more. Made a bigger trip (300 km) and average went to 53,4 mpg (5,3 l/100 km). Mostly freeway at about 75-80 mph (120-130 km/h) with airconditioning activated. Not bad so far. |

Offline | Consumption From the first 1.500 km (2nd tank stop :-) in my new Mini D I got the following figures: 5,5 l/100km on a city/country road/highway mix with speeds up to 130km/h 6,5 l/100km on a long fast highway trip (130-160km/h) Most of the time I had A/C on (we have currently 30°+) ---Claus |
