so i had a ONE D for a whole day as my S was undergoing his 4th frontscreen replacement ..


it was fun ... well it looks like a MINI and it feels like a mini... but it makes sound like a taxi ..

the 6 speed gearbox is sooo much better than the 5 speed one.. and it makes driving with this underpowered thing still a pleasure... even though i kicked it good around our curvy roads and flattened the gas constantly .. i only consumed 7 liters on 100 km ...

it would be definately be my choice if I had to choose between the diesel and the ONE...

Agree with you KEEVAN.

After my day with the DIESEL ( Well abused - Poor thing )
when my COOPER was in for it's first service .

The 6 speed box , the response from standstill , and when pushed in all gears , and the general ability to cope with various traffic conditions , would make me buy a DIESEL over the ONE.

But I would have to sit down and do the sum's !.

Purchase price ?.
Insurance ?.
Tax ?
Fuel Consumption ? ( Not that good for a diesel ! )lot's of year's ago FORD FIESTA diesels could get 60 + MPG !!.
Current AUDI'S much more.

But as an alternative to a ONE , go and buy it !!.
