Smile Collected D Today

Just collected I/B D from dealer after trading One in. Pleased to see its got the speed/mpg etc on call in the rev counter, does that mean its 2004 model. Also got chrome fuel cap cover which I didn"t expect.
Came home via motorway so was able to get to 6th, 2 and a bit rpm at 70.

Went straight for the wrong reverse position when I got home tho.

You jammy devil with all that '04 kit. Enjoy every mile.

How do you find the difference in performance?

Will do pics tomorrow after collecting MCS, i"d hd a good test drive a couple of months ago and was reasonably impressed with the performance for a driving school car.
Couldn"t get it to stall on move off ( famous last words.)

Is the fuel cap the same as an S? Didn't know that was coming.

Guess it must be a 2004 model. Did you spec the On Board Computer?

Congrats on the car BTW.

Just checked under the bonnet Sept 03 build. It looks the same fuel cap as is on the Cooper S. I didn"t specify ought cos it was one that was ordered for dealer use so had to accept the spec which is IB, Salt, Manual air con. No alloys or anything else but tat suits me after occasional kerb by pupils on previous one.
Standard interior (anthracite) which looks better to me now after previous silver.

ONED,
Spose your"e right but neither of the two items mentioned were shown on the spec sheet. What does the 2004 model have over the previous build ?

Not sure what all is included, we got follow me home headlights on our July build, but we didn't get auto locking which is also 2004 model
The S cap may have been a dealer add on
The only other thing that comes to mind about the 2004 model is speed display in the rev counter.
Do you have an OBC button on the indicator stalk?

Yep, button on the indicator stalk to alternate the display on the rev counter. That must be included on the standard spec then ?

Hmmm.... I've got a May '03 build and got both (assuming you mean auto locking on moving off).

Yep thats the one!
If U unlock the car & don't open a door for @5mins or sumat then the car will auto lock itself again!

That doesnt sound right surely everything should lock
Have you tried locking the car yourself to see if the fuelcap locks?

The fuel cap locks and unlocks when useing the remote, but after the car autolocks the fuel cap remains unlocked , dont know if that should be the case.
