Hey all, im just new to this.

My dad ordered me a Mini One D in the beginning - middle of september, when should I expect to be seeing it?

Also, what kinda mods can you get done to the Diesel version for the lil but more power?

Hope to hear from ya's soon!

Unhappy

Hi Bryce,

I ordered my OneD on the 4th July, and took delivery on the 11th October, but I wanted a new 53 number plate so that may of delayed things longer than need be.

Cant comment on the chipping, but have considered it. Also someone mentioned getting a bit more power by changing the air filter. Have a browse through the OneD forum, there was a big dicussion on both of these in the past month or so.

You might get it for Christmas - and the best present is if you drive her carefully you easily get 50+mpg. Or just have some fun with the torque, and get nearer 40.

Have fun!

Cheers guys! I had one on demo for a day and i battered the hell outa it and the worst MPG i could get was 44.7!! It's unbelievable. Is there no chipping you can get done within the warranty? Air filters wont affect the warrenty or anything will it?

Mini TLC is a great thing, only £20 a year for full services, great deal!

You could fit a powerbox or some other similar device which connectinto the wiring loom without altering the ecu,............this can easily be removed prior to servicing without affecting the TLC

The ECU is the brain! Chipping can be changing the Chip or you can reprograme the chip, both of these may invalidate you warranty.
The powerbox is a plugin device which can be easilly removed and would be untracable

hey there,

I orderd my diesel mid July and it took just over 8 weeks to get, I do know they can be fairly slow on delivery. I wouldnt have thought you would have to wait more than about 10 weeks to get your car.

On the MPG, I do mainly country A road driving nearly all around 60 mph and I havnt got anywhere near the claimed 625 miles from a tank. A tank normally last me around 480 miles before the light comes on.
