MOD Experiences and Review

I attach MOD rave review that may be of interest:

http://money.telegraph.co.uk/motorin.../emrcult06.xml

I bought a MOD some three weeks ago (now known as "YUE"). My only problem is that my wife keeps nicking him. YUE is just too popular.

On consumption, we are getting 55mpg on the OBC on a reasonable trip but 60 is achievable. YUE loves ambling along at 40mph in traffic on the M25 but the consumption falls dramatically if you cruise at over 70 (which of course we'd never do..)

I mainly bought the diesel because the petrol was far too noisy at speed. I find the six speed really helps. Being diesel also gives YUE more character. THe branding people really have got this one all wrong - the MOD should be the Mini "Growler" and no mention made of what fuel you happen to put in.

I can't see what all the fuss is about performance. Mine is plently fast enough. I only test drove a MOD beacuse a sports car driving work colleague raved about it. I think its one of the best kept secrets in the car world right now.

Do we want to rave about the MOD or do we want to keep our secret?

Thanks for sharing your expoeriences and good luck with your MOD.
I'd like to mention that there is already a thread on MOD experience reports (http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39857) .

Why not to move the discussion over there?
