Offline | My Cooper D Here are some pics of my Diesel, had if since Aug 03 but have only just got around to making some changes. Im aware that some will hate the cooper badge, but hey I like it and it's a free country. I will pre-empt any criticism with my reasoning 1. I am not embarrassed of my One D, i did not rebadge for that reason. 2. I am not trying to fool people into thinking my car is something that it's not. A cooper D does not exist there for I am turning my car into something unique (the very essence of moding). So what I have done is different from rebadging a One as a Cooper (which I wouldn't do but is fine if the owner wants to). 3. Cooper was involved in the design of all new Minis 4. The D badge/exhaust/front grill/side skirts/6-speed/tractor noise all clearly identify it as a mini diesel of which I am proud. Still waiting for my newly sprayed red grill and wing-mirrors to be done, will include photos of these at the weekend. |

Offline | Cooper badge was £13 from local dealer, stuck it on myself. I reccommend putting the D on too, or something else, not just cooper on it's own. I also stuck on a TDI badge which I got from a VW garage but loadsa places do em. BLB & Harpo : nice D's. BLB in ur gallery there are some chicks in uniform wearing a school tie identical to the school I went to! Any one chipped their D yet? I want more power but dont want more noise and especially dont want to damage the engine, also i like the MPG. No such thing as an ideal world! so at the mo I think I will leave the engine alone and just be slow! let us know if anyone has any great ideas to inc power significantly. |

Offline | MOD pics. Hi, Here's MINDY, my MIN-D. She now has Chilli Red mirrors, Chilli Red under-carriage and is awaiting blue calipers and a possible sun-roof graphic. Will update when weather improves. |

| Diesel Powered | Thanks for the compliments, the viper stripes are a dealer option, not sure of the part number tho. I think the dealer will only fit white, silver or black stripes although I'm sure you can get pretty much whatever you wanted if you looked around. I wasn't going to get them but about 2 weeks ago I saw jem24uk going the other way down the A1M with black viper stripes on her pepper white Cooper S and I phoned my dealer straight away to get some! It was a bit of a gamble because I have never seen silver stripes on pepper white, but it looks fabulous in the flesh, rather retro. I only got it yesterday and all the pedestrians around here have got black eyes from walking into lamp posts when I go past! ![]() Last edited by Bianchiboy : Mar 7th, 2004 at 08:51 AM. |
