Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums and looking for info on delivery times for the UK. I'm thinking of buying a MOD probably around April 2005, my question is when should I go to my local dealer to arrange my purchase? I've heard of long waiting lists etc but dont want to arrive at the dealer in March and be told it may be 4 months

etc.

I'm also thinking of splashing out on the Hardon Karman hi-fi... is it worth it? I like my music loud !!

Welcolm to MINI2. I would go and order now. My wait is 9 months, I ordered in August last year, and mine is expected end of march early april. I think it is a minimum wait of 6 months for the OneD.
Can't comment on the H/K HI-FI, but i'm sure someone will.

Yo-Harmon Kardon is deffo worth it if u like clear music clarity with a descrete look-It's not that much of a loud systmen but loud enough for me.

Regarding Delivery-I ordered in September and now expected for February week 5 build-But it does vary from dealer to dealer-If you put your name down now you will prob have it for May/June. Although the dealer might have an earlier allocation of some 1 drops out.

9 months for a MOD..jeepers.. i waited about 5 for my ONE and i thought that was a long wait. I'm not sure if they're doing themselves any favours by having just the one factory..though i wouldnt like to see the car turning into another ford focus situation.

i must be the luckiest man on here

i only ordered mine on Christmas eve. its being built week 6 Feb for march 1st 05 delivery

only 44 days to go

I had to wait 6 months for my MiniD replacement after a black hac took a dislike to the rear end of my pride and joy. nearly sent me round the bend waiting. Had to put up with a C2 temp for that time.

Ordered Mini One D 14th August 2004. Drove it home 22nd December 2004. So over 18 weeks delivery. One funny moment last Saturday. Was filling up car from Savacentre with the yellow diesel pump and the guy in front filling his car asked if I had the right pump. He was quite shocked to find MINI's came in diesel flavour too.

I ordered mine on friday and have been given a delivery date of the first week of april, but that was a cancellation. Cant wait!

Nah-This is only a small percentage compared to the amount of Petrols that would be cancelled.
Only 1/2 D's allocated per dealer per month on average-compare this to the amount of Petrols ordered

I have done 20,000 km in my little one. In New Zealand there is at least a 9 month wait if you want to order exactly what you want - seems the last part of the journey from the factory across the seas down to the bottom of the wold can take some time!

I fell in love within a nearly new Cooper S - the owner traded it in at 5,000km because he wanted a different colour.

The slot I got was a cancelled petrol slot that my dealer swapped with a dealer in England for a diesel slot. He also told me that all dealers (In the uk) are having their allocations cut this year so MINI can try and reduce the waiting lists in other parts of the world. He thinks this will mean residuals on existing cars will remain high. Im just happy to have put my order in!
