Offline | Whats the 2nd hand price of Diesel Mini against a new Diesel ? I have been thinking of putting my 19 month old Mini Diesel in for a shiny new One D, but before I go and die of a heart attack when they value my car, has anyone else recently part-ex'ed a Diesel for another Diesel of a similar spec? If someone could please post what they paid new and how old and what they got for it (or how much money added to get similar spec new). Cheers |

![]() MINI2 Master | It all depends on your Spec. But I have been looking at the Prices of Second Hand Diesels on the MINI.co.uk website, they hold their value pretty well. Take a look on there then knock off £1500 to get an idea on what yours is worth with similar Spec ![]() Si ![]() |

Offline | Bougth a second hand MOD in July 2004, ran it for 8K miles in 4 months and traded it in against a new one with a loss of £1400. Dealer said he would put it back on the forecourt for £12900 which is what I paid. Have to say I was pleased with the deal as I saved more running the MOD rather than my Subaru, than I lost in the deal. Also got to run around in a MOD whilst deciding on the final spec for the new one. . |

Offline | 32,000 miles. Couldn't believe 3 MINI dealers could vary so much with trade in prices. A Citroen dealer also offered £10k for a trade in against a C4 next week. Now sticking with goldie though as just had some warranty work and a KDS done and its running like new (maybe thats got something to do with new tyres as well!). |

Offline | Its okay Heather, I saw sense at the last minute . Didn't even bother with a trade in price from Henry Bros as they couldn't deliver before August! Hamilton Bros were lowest, then Menzies, with Fairbairns giving the best price.Went for a wee blast down Ayshire this morning and she is running sweeeeeeeet just now. Got to say as well, Fairbairns have been really on the ball with doing some warranty work to it and have left me very impressed with their aftersales. If only they would stop sending text messages to my old mobile number to let me know the car is ready though! |

Offline | Been offered similar for November time. I have 25k+ at the moment but will be well over 45k by the time my next D arrives. The dealer reckons this price range of £8000 - 8500 will hold as not many d's in production. Only time will tell. Be interested to know if the dealers are more willing to negotiate prices/spec for renewing customers. I won't hold my breath though! |

Offline | Cant see the mileage mattering that much. When mine was priced in Feb it had 28K on and when I get the new one mid April it will have done 32500. The dealer didn"t comment on the mileage. |
