Hey everyone!!

im a new member, just ordered my mini and hopefully its going to come September 17th, so until then im going to be looking into how i can try and make mine a bit individual!!

has anyone got any ideas!! all suggestions and pics will be greatfully recieved!!

Hello and welcome.

The ways you can make your MINI look that bit different are almost endless. Some people on the list seem to devote their life to changing their MINIs

What colour/spec did you order?

Looks like you've got a good delivery date. My dealer told me in June that MINIs ordered then were not being delivered until October.

My dealer did seem like he tried to pull out all the stops!! but then again, my mum, dad and brother have got bmws from him!!

i went for a silver ONE, with 16's, sport seats with kaleido cloth, spoiler, chrome inserts, salt, but opted for the darker anthracite finish, cd player, heated washers/mirrors, i think that just about covers it!!

what about you?

Pure Silver too. Close call between that and Indi Blue. The blue looks fantastic but so does silver and should be easy to keep clean.

15" 8 spokes
single CD player
SALT pack with Silver interior.

Due to receive it next week

No I can't wait either.

I probably won't be doing much/anything to mine. I'm happy with it the way it will come.

One of the most popular mods for the ONE seems to be changing the black bits for chrome like you get on the Cooper. Check out Smiffy's posts or his pics at http://www.mini2.com/gallery/persona...gallery=smiffy

Welcome to the board, excellent colour choice by the way!!

I agree with KenL that the chrome inserts on Smiffys car look great.

One thing with the anthracite finish the rev counter still has a silver back to it which can look odd. There are a number of guys on this board who have got the rev counter with this finish, perhaps they can advise better than me, but it's all down to personal choice at the end of the day.

yeah, i noticed the ones at the dealership had a few things finished in the brilliant silver ie the rev counter and the speaker covers etc.

i asked my dealer and he said that cos my car was coming in sept, it would be a 2003 spec and that it would all match?!? i questioned this a few times, but he assured me that it would match. bizarre really! i know i want the time to fly but, i dont want 2003 to appear that quickly!! let alone september, if you know what i mean!! if it doesnt match, then ill be on for some hefty discount i think!!! (i hope) maybe some free clear rear lights??

the chrome gille etc, does look good!! ordered it all for about 70 quid!!

what else you got planned for yours?

CD Changer in the boot is next on the shopping list. I had the wires enabled by the dealer FOC when I ordered the car.

My Company Car (Honda Civic) is the first car I've had a CD in, I've always had a tape player. It's amazing that you never miss something until you've got it, (bit like air conditioning, I wouldn't be without that either). Tapes certainly don't sound the same as CD's.
