Offline | *First post alert* Hi everyone, My girlfriend has just bought an electric blue MINI ONE and we are thinking of changing the indicator side vents to chrome items. I managed to get a pair of Cooper S vents from ebay but I'm not sure how they'd look on a ONE? One idea I had was to paint the red "S" on the vents silver so that it blends in more with the rest of the vent. What are your views on this? The main thing is that we aren't trying to make the ONE a Cooper S lookalike but we'd just like a few touches of chrome here and there, the Cooper S fuel cap is probably next... Great site by the way, I read and searched it for weeks before taking the plunge with the MINI. John. |

| Lost in Mini2 | Hi there, and welcome... I've got the cooper s side indicator vents on my mini one, i think they are better than most other after market ones, but as u say i would also like to make the S on the vent a different colour. http:// ![]() JCW Black R105 - JCW Strut - More Mods Soon... |

| MINI2 Newbie | Ive just picked up my one, as of saturday I'm changing my side vents to chrome ones but I've gone for the shark fin ones rather than cooper s. Ive got a cooper s fuel cap to go on it too. I have the chrome pack on mine so looks kinda wrong without chrome side grills! |

Offline | Thanks for the replies. After having a good look at the grills today I've discovered that it is possible to remove the "S" completely. The only problem is that it leaves a rather ugly S shaped mount underneath it so I decided to refit it. I then noticed that the red colour on the S badge is only a sticker so I decided to bite the bullet and peel it off. It left lots of sticky residue but once this was cleaned up it looked great and now isn't quite as in your face as the original red trimmed grills. I'll stick a pic up at the weekend. John. |

Offline | If your having trouble deciding there are some alloy applications to the existing wing vents available through ebay. They fix straight over the two central fins of the vent. They look great with clear side repeaters. |
