Question Alloys

i have a New Mini one supposed to be delivered soon. I wanted to know what 15" alloys are available as a factory fit? My dealer has said there are only 2 available but other posts on this forum seem to suggest there are 4. If this is true what are the others? How much do they cost?
Hope someone can clear this up

There are only two "standard" 15" wheels afaik. I chose the 8 spokes which I think look brilliant. In the accessories brochure there are loads pictured but I can't remember if any of those are 15".

There are about 3 or 4 styles of 15" alloys available

More Info

Thyanks for the above responses

This accesories catalogue is not available at my dealer and I can't find it on the mini website.

I can't tell which of these alloys are fifteen inch and If I can specify them on the car on delivery. My dealer knows nothing about them. They say that they will check this out and get back to me. I don't hold out much hope.
Do the other two sets of alloys cost more? Which on the page are they? Are they the same price as the 7-hole and 8 spoke sets?

Well - as a cooper owner with 15"s I really wish we had held out for a car with 16"s. The 15" tyres are not very grippy (read crap) and there is little or no choice of good sports tyres to fit this size wheel - I have checked two very reputable tyre specialists (pro-tyres and Elite). Now the 16" rim has a large number of decent tyres to choose from (including the t1s from Toyo - I loved these tyres on the Imprezza). So why not go for the 16"s and when you wear out the tyre replace it with something decent!!!

Cheers

Gary

Have a look at the f.a.q. section at the top of the page and follow the links. Quite a few pictures to look at.

Was a 1, now 1 of 150 in a 40
