Turbo

I am having a mini one and i would like to know is there any turbo kits for mini one? If install can you please let me know how much will it gain also please let me the price and the shop or website

yes there are, but I doubt the gear box would be able to take much more than the power of the standard Cooper, so why not just save yourself the risk and bother and order either a Cooper or a Cooper S

Its only a forum you know!

Buy a cooper or S... by the time you spend all the money doing your car up you will have spent enogh to buy a cooper or an S also buying on S will solve all machanical errors that may occur.

Yep, this seems to be the general response. Though possible, it makes much more sense to just go for the S.

my mini one is turboed its mint ive just got a garett t28 on myn with just a few adjustments jus run it in before you start racing round less chance of blowing up then

i think your right about getting your one turbo'd, wheres the fun in just buying an S? imagion beating an S in a one! i would pay to see the look on there face!

i am also very interseted in getting my one turbo'd for all of those people who keep saying about blowing the engine and gear box up its not just a case of bolting a turbo on i intend to get a uprated box and full uprated internals. what sort of psi do the garret t28 turbos boost though ?

if you can stick a honda v tec engine in a classic and loads of other engines i am sure it can be done to a new MINI fine! just a matter of time for the new one!

As regards to the gearbox ive heard a cooper s gearbox can easily be put on a mini one.

There is already someone putting a v8 in a mini one.

if i was u and had the money i'd trade in my one for a S then turbo it if u go to www.autofashion.co.uk they do lots a stuff turbo's lambo doors air suspension al sorts of crazy stuff

i have also read that the cooper s gear box isnt well matched to the engine
