£10,000 a good price??

hi guys,
my sister is selling her mini one and she has offered it to me for £10,000. It is exactly 12 months old and has done 14000 miles. It has got quite a high spec however as it was the BMW showroom car. It has the pepper pack, 17"cooper s wheels, sports seats, metallic paint, air con and a few other bits and pieces. All i want to know is if £10,000 is a fair price? Glass's guide says that a one year old mini one without any options selected should sell for £9600. Just wondered what you guys thought,
Cheers,
Rob

Sounds OK if its loaded with stuff. MINIs are expensive to buy second hand really due to low depreciation still. My Cooper was loosing about £1000-1500 per year in the first 2 years of its life according to Glasses and the insurance company who paid out after it was written off. I would take the sale price of her ONE and deduct about 2-3k off it and thats about the right price would be my guess.

cheers guys for your input, do you think that the introduction of the new faclifted mini in the autumn will have a significant affect on the depreciation of pre-facelifted models, or do you think that they will continue to depreciate very slowly regardless?

People will still want minis. Even if it gets a face lift.
Hope so anyway. I've only had my Mini for 2 weeks now.

Most cars suffer at the hands of the new replacement model, however, I reckon the MINI will still depreciate more slowly than, say, a Fiesta. I was reading at the weekend that the new model will firstly be released as a Cooper and S, the One and Diesel won't be available until later (not sure how ling, doubt it will be too long)
