United-Kingdom Replacement Exaust 02 Mini One

Hi,

Just suceeded in changing rear brakepads and discs (But that's another story - getting those torx screws out was a challenge!!!). Whilst poking about underneath I noticed that the exhaust (Standard 02 reg. Mini One Item) was very rusty and starting to have a few holes in it. Basically we are talking about the big silver box at the extreme rear.

I can't seem to find anyone who sells a new exhaust (standard) except for the main dealer and they quote £215 plus VAT plus gaskets. (Fitted it was about £350!!). It seems that all the Kwik-Fit types don't have them, so.......

Can anyone suggest an alternative source for the exhaust?

Regards,

Phil H

does it have to be a direct replacement for the same type or would you look at after market ones

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Long as the darned thing fits and "looks the part"- no problem. What I didn't want to do was pay big money for a stainless job as one sees on ebay.

Kind rgards,

Phil.

I understand that. My mini one has dual pipes out the back. All stainless steel through to the cat. cost £270 fully fitted. My mini is in my gallery

Looks good.

Is there any hacking around or is it straight replacement?

Who supplies?

Regards,

Phil.

The only thing cut was the body work to allow the extra pipe out the back. it was a guy in Stafford who custom makes them to how ever u want. Can get a name if u want
