Offline | New New MINI ONE Well, I have looked at all the pictures of the new new MINI, I think I prefer the MK1/2. I like the interior but not the front end or the rear handle. The front looks to big . And it is not designed by Frank S . Will the ONE be a future classic with the Cooper and S![]() Was MK1 Black MINI ONE (Sept 2001 Build) NOW NEW MX-5 |

Offline | Will any of them be? Who's to say just now. I think the S will be most "classic", lower numbers produced for less time, and "more difference" in terms of supercharger etc. The One isn't as popular a model and it would take a LONG time for the rarity to affect "classic" status and value, like many, many years in the future. The models higher up the range always seem to be more desirable, especially I think in this case the One is pretty much a de-tuned Cooper with a few less bits of fancy trim. There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | Is there going to be a new ONE diesel or a diesel in any shape or form. Hope so otherwise my current mini will be my last. I notice the diesel is not available at all at the moment yet I had to wait a full 6 months to obtain mine. Anyone know the answer |

Offline | The only classic to emerge out of the current MINI Mk1 will be the 1.4 OneD of course , it is the rarest of the bunch, and was produced for an even shorter period than the CooperS Won't the new OneD be the 1.6 Diesel unit developed at BMW's Hams Hall plant, the unit which is also utilised by Peugeot? 110bhp??? |

Offline | God knows what makes a "classic", but rarity sometimes comes into it. Given that the most common Mini on the road is the Cooper, I reckon the One will achieve cult status first. And hopefully people will realise that the One has its own charm, and isn't in any way a poor relation. I'm proud to drive a One and always look out for them. A smell of petroleum prevails throughout. |
