oil change

i know my mini one needs fully synthetic oil but cant remember which grade? help please?

also, anything i should know before performing a service (dodgy sump plugs etc)

0W-30 Fully synthetic is the oil you want, 5W-30 would suit if you can't find any 0W grade.

Although 0W is suggested over 5W for the UK climate.

I asked this exact question a few weeks back. It turns out that we should use 0W-30 in the UK due to its cold climate. 5W-30 is for hotter countries like the USA.

The only thing I can say is don't over-tighten the sump plug. I read a horror story a long time ago about that and it stuck in my mind! Otherwise, it's a relatively painless exercise.

The best guide I've seen is by Webb Motorsports.
