England Fantastic part exchange price

Went to order my new mini one the other week and got a great part x on my old one. Mind you the rep did value it with the pepper pack, which it doesn't have. I was honest and let him know and he kept the trade in the same £8900.00. Which means i could order more goodies on my new car due for pick up the end of September.

i read somewhere the mini one is the best car in the UK for holding its value and I think this proves it!

Seems like a fair price. Looking back, it seems that you change your MINI One for a new One, just the same, every 2 years

Are you having an identical Chilli Red One again?

Still going with the one, but for a change I am having it in hyper blue with the salt pack. Was almost tempted to go with the convertable, but having had soft tops before in the end decided not to bother. I went to the new Halliwell Jones show room near Chester, it looked closed as there were no lights on, but it turns out there was a power cut. They had to do it all the old fashioned way without computers.

My current car has just over 18000.00 on the clock.

LOL-Probably why you got as good trade in price then, if it didn't involve a computer!

Probably. I got more this time than I did 2 years ago.

I must admit I haven't had any problems with Halliwell Jones, any warranty work that needed doing was done without an argument. The only mistake they've made is when I picked up my current mini and when I got home I noticed the number plate was wrong. They had put DG54 instead of DK54. They are a lot better to deal with than VW Dane motors in Chester, after the last car I got from them I swore never to buy a VW again.

I think chili-packed Coopers often hold their value slightly better, but the One ranks above the Cooper S I think. The MINI range as a whole must rank within the top two or three manufacturers though for resale values.

I think the article said there were more Coopers around than Ones something like out of every 10 minis sold, 8 were coopers. I guess its just supply and demand coming into play.
