Differences between One and Cooper (besides ECU)

What exactly are the differences between the One and the Cooper besides the ECU?

As far as im aware there is the ECU as mentioend and a few cosmetic features on the outside and i think that might be it!

i do stand corrected if there is any other difference!

Thanks, that's the impression I have got aswell. But while browsing some suspension upgrades I saw a suspesnsion kit that fitted all coopers, but only One's with sports suspension (I guess it is some kind of accessory). So it seems like they don't have the exact sam euspension, but it might just be something strange with this kit.

I think Cooper's have a slightly more sporty suspension, different ECU map and different cosmetic options

Apart from the BHP, achieved through the ECU, the Cooper also had different gear ratios (set up less for economy and more for a 'sporty' drive) sports suspension and an anti-roll bar on the rear suspension.

Cosmetically, the Cooper gained alloy wheels, chrome grille bars, tailgate handle and tailpipe and, of course, the option of a contrast roof colour.

Internally it gained front footwell lights and more sedate-looking upholstery.

The cooper exhaust also has an extra silencer over the one exhaust so it's a little more deep

Not so sure about the gearbox being different, I believe they use the same unit especially on the midland units.

Alternatively

If your referring to the new One (R56) it will have a 1.4 unit in place of the 1.6, so there's no prospect of upping the power to make it indistinguishable from a Cooper.

Tigger.

Same gearbox, different ratios. Set up more for comfort than speed basically.
