Offline | Anyone got a Milltek exhaust on their One? Hi all, Thinking of buying a Milltek cat back system for my One as my exhaust has gone very rusty. Just got a few questions about it for anyone in the know. 1) Does it have any effect on mpg? 2) Will it effect emissions i.e will it still pass M.O.T? 3) Does it improve performance? 4) I would like to get an ECU remap - should i do this before or after fitting the milltek 5) Do i have to change the manifold if i buy a new cat back system ( read on another post it's noisy inside the car if you dont??) 6) And finally for anyone that's fitted one - did you use spacers ( again i read on another post if you don't it rubs?) Thanks alot for any help ![]() |

Offline | You tube are doing site changes so i cant up load a video of my miltec exhaust, the video i going to post for you is just my Mini One pulling away and flooring it. You mpg wont change, and it doesnt matter whether you get the remap first or the exhaust, also you can either use a standard manifold or after market version, i have a performance after market one which does make it alot louder inside the car against the standard manifold. It will not affect you emmissions if you just get a cat back, even with a performance manifold with a sports cat it will pass and MOT. I will post the video later on about 4is when i get back from work. Alex |

Offline | Emissions wont change if its just the cat back and they shouldnt change too much even with a manifold, unless you go with a de-cat pipe. If anything adding a performance manifold will make the exhaust louder. Performance and MPG may change a bit but it wont really be that noticable. Always have a remap done afterwards that way the exhaust can be taken into account and the fueling adjusted to suit. I imagine the rubbing issue depends on which bumper you have ![]() |

Offline | Just had another quick one for ya MiniPetrolHead. When you fitted your milltek did you have to cut the black plastic trim aorund the bottom of the bumper so the tailpipe would fit? Cheers |
