Offline | Thats what all my mates have said R99, thanks everyone by the way. I looked arround on the internet and could only find PI springs for over £110, then i thought give ebay a try, and i ended up paying only £90ish including postage cost from a guy who is constantly selling springs for the mini on there, its actually a propper business so you dont have to be worried about being ripped off, they arrived next day!!! Offline | Looks super cool!! I'm thinking of having mine lowered too. Have a question though; Is it classed as a modification by the insurance companies, and if so, will it increase the insurance premium? Mark ![]() |

Offline | its not that much of a hard job, now i know how to do it, i would do it myself. it took 1.5 hours to fit the whole kit. all u need is a flat surface, a jack, axel stands flat head screw driver and a socket set, and a set of alan keys. I couldnt recomend the 35mm PI lowering springs enough, get them from the guy on ebay and save £30-£40. the only down side is that it makes u wnat to drive fast, so you can feel it go round corners faster. The springs were delivered the next day aswell. Alex |

Offline | Hi there 1andy, Yeah my 0-60 time at the moment is 7.8seconds, which i hav done a thousand times. ![]() My next mod sort of just fell into my lap actually, lol. Before i drove 600 odd miles up to scotland over easter and then 600 odd miles back 10days later, i was told i had 3000miles left on my break discs. The only thing is at this moment in time i cant afford to have a full break replacement, so my mum has paid for the new kit of drilled and grooved front and rear discs and performace pads, which i am over the moon about but will have to pay her back next month. The breaks will be fitted over the weekend. After that, maybe next month im debating on whether to get better acceleration by getting a light weight flywheel fitted or get the aero body kit? Im really undecided, which do you think? I have been told that the flywheel alone will cut half a second off 0-60 by a few Mini tuning specialists. Alex |
